Don’t you use that horrid liquify again

Im going to take this to the extreme to show a slimming technique that I use.  I have always used the warp tool in Free Transform.  I do not use liquify.  Warp is fast efficient and really easy.  This tool is for the little nip/tuck the slimming of the arm. The double chin you accidently caught etc and small corrections that make a big difference to the buyers of the image.

1. Lasso the area you want to move.

2. Copy and paste.

3. Ctl T Free tranform

4. Right click Warp

5. Move the edit points to where you want to warp.  Accept.

6. Check for edit point or break points, adjust these by going back into warp. OR

7. Go to the erase tool and lightly feather the edge of the layer at 10 %

8. When you are happy flatten image.

9. Use this responsibly DO NOT over slim it’s unrealistic and looks wrong.  DO NOT lose the ‘real’ shape of an arm/waist etc.

    • Kate is Perfect just the way she is! But you will find many a little arm bump waist roll or stray second chin out there that will love you forever

  6. amazing…thank you for sharing!

  7. I saw the video of you using the warp tool and actions on the icesociety freebie part and seriously huge massive difference afterwards. I get what you mean by overdoing it. xD and yes the lil nip tucks everyone truly appreciates them.

  8. wonderful tutorial…thank you! i have never liked using liquify. i just tried this technique today on an image and love the results. much easier and more natural.

  9. Thank you Sue! I used it within an hour of reading that. I had a girl (who is already thin) but looked thick in one of her senior photos. Fixed in 3 min! You’re awesome.

  10. thank you thank you!!! this is an amazing tip!! I hate liquify!! thanks again!

  11. from one editor to another…that looks terrible, way too exaggerated. the key to editing photos is to make it look natural. the way her back curves in the “finished” photo is NOT natural. and the top edge of the dress on either side of her arm don’t line up. Not a convincing tutorial for me to consider this technique useful
