Oh how I loved doing this shoot. Because I got to photograph the beautiful Tiffany and Marc Angeles. You know this challenge is about opening up your genre’s. I am a Glamour photographer, I market to Women! But these Women bring their Boys and when they do it opens a whole new demographic and network. Not to mention a bigger sale. Work your audience/client base, every girl has a spouse? a child? lots of work colleagues? Girlfriends, Sisters a Mother and how we love to share and tell stories.

I kept it traditional for this shoot. More couples getting Calvin Klein’d in 18 – 30′s Shooting and Marketing coming soon week 3. This is for any age group.

Plus size is a filthy word. Never use it again. PERIOD. I prefer Curvy, or even normal is fine. I do not support the plus size movement, I do not support the size zero movement. I support BEAUTY, and every Women’s right to see hers. My rules are simple, take away what the girls DON’t like and you are left with what they do. That may be a shadow an eye bag a muffin top whatever. Who cares. Just look into those eyes and flatter that body no matter what the shape and accept and love what is part of you always. But mostly lighten up, on yourself, on life. Know that you are perfect in this moment, perfect for what you need to learn and be. The truth is every Woman wants a beautiful photograph of herself. Some people go through life with a different body shape, some people carry extra weight and leave it behind. It doesn’t make you less lovable or desirable to the people that love you. Be beautiful now, exist in images for your children and family now. Don’t hide away love who you are now. Curvy, skinny, plain whatever you are or rather THINK you are, you are light.

How many poses can you do in one corner with a couch and then repeat on a little white box. This challenge is about simple props and maximum effect on a budget. One window, One reflector and a box. You do not need a huge amount of space, you do not need props and fancy toys. You need strong direction and confidence. You need variety and you need practise. But this is the most fun practising that you can have. Enjoy (remember learn 6 Master 6 then add 6 more until you can do them all and then add your own flavour)

Creating a Posing guide tomorrow for this video and will make it available with the download. Print it out and use it everyday. Practise with enthusiasm/joy and Gusto maybe try in my accent. (yes even you aussies ha ha )

Day Two: is Mapping the Shoot/Sets & Outfits.
This is how my mind works. I want to shoot two women at the same time. I want to be efficient for my studio and my time management but I also want my clients to stay focused on having fun and not drag out my shoots. I learned to Map my outfits/poses/backdrops and flow. In this challenge I want you to create the same flow and familiarity within your own space. This video is nearly two hours long. This week I add a contact sheet download of this shoot that you can use as a posing manual and I will record some Photoshop videos of how I put those special finishing touches on these images. All the images you are seeing in this video are RAW straight off camera.

Day One: is Natural Light Studio 101. I took it right down to basics for this one. It’s about creating a natural light studio in a lounge, a bedroom, a hotel room or a studio for under $100. I will show how I get this even (beauty dish style light) with sun, curtains and polystyrene reflectors.
