This is what Im shooting tomorrow Oh MY

Hailey and I were just talking over lunch. So many people email us both and comment on how our obvious passion for what we both do respectively is contagious and they want to feel that way. We were just discussing that feeling of loving something so much you just can’t stop doing it. For Hailey it’s filming anything. For me it’s Glamour. Your challenge today is to write down that thing you love, and start moving towards it every day. No excuses no limits or fears. Just excitement and practise a little every single day. Let your excitement permeate through you and what you are doing and then you will discover your highest value. Then work through that highest value. That is ZEN, that is self power. You don’t need to LOOK for it, it is right in front of you. That thing you do when time stops, you forget to eat and all your important chores go out the window. When you practise this regularly it cannot help but to become part of your income.

http://www.patriciarobison.com/ you are amazing. Patty you are a master thank you so much for making me such a beautiful piece I will treasure it. This is what I’m shooting tomorrow. Well as a little girl who played with dolls this is my dream. If I am only ever ‘known’ as the girl that shoots these frilly frocks then It will not be a wasted life. For here I dwell in my happiness. I wish the same for you.

  4. I know so much the “little girl playing with dolls” feeling when I am directing a photo shoot. And since I began beauty-glamour portraits inspired by you, I feel like this all the time! Thanks you so much for sharing and making those incredibly beautiful and inspiring photos.

  5. Every time I see your lush frocks it reignites my love for couture design (my former life) and I just want to get my mannequin out and create dreamy frocks like these!!!

  6. Ooooohhh, I feel a ballerina shoot coming on…. Gasp! With actual ballerinas and a showreel with dancing in it! Win!

  7. 1. i need to make this.
    2. i need a sewing machine.
    3. …….i need to learn how to sew.
;) sue you are a lucky gal! i do hope you will share the pics!

    • Laura, I bought a $77 sewing machine off of Amazon last year after making several no-sew tutus. I starting out making tote bags to learn how to sew and now I am finally making skirts. Since I am doing it mostly for photography it doesn’t need to be perfect and it is a whole lot faster than hand sewing. So you can do it!

  8. Hi Sue, this dress makes me gasp! I was an aspiring ballerina for my entire growing up, attended classes three days each week and took all of the exams… then I got curvy and tall… so much for that dream. : ) It would be a dream come true to be your model again one day… I promise not to have my wide-eyed “stare.” I so admire you.
    Love, Carolyn

  10. That is beautiful. What is the outer fabric Sue?

  11. So beautiful! I saw the documentary on Jill and I cried, the pictures took my breath away. My dear friend just found out today she has stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to the bones, she also has a baby that is 7 months old, I’m devastated but remain prayerful knowing that God is bigger than cancer! Your work is beyond amazing and Jill truly is a spectacular light that shines in this world!

  18. Thanks so much for posting Sue! I have a project that I’m on the edge of starting that I think will be great, but to be honest, I’m terrified. Thanks for giving me the push to know that great things can only be achieved if you push those fears aside and at least try. Without trying, there’s no knowing how successful it will actually be – right? :)

Beautiful dress as well – always an inspiration!

  19. Thank you, now I am going in the right direction………..you have no idea how you have helped me!!!!

  20. Gorgeous! I look forward to seeing the results.

  21. You are great!

  22. Oh, what a beautiful, frilly frock. I have to agree, your excitement is contagious. Now I just have find clients who want the glamor shots. But here they rather go to a mall studio, because it is cheaper.

  23. Hi Sue a gorgeous dress. As a bloke who hasn’t a clue about sewing (pushing a thread through a needle is hard enough) where do you recommend I start to learn? Most sewing magazines assume a level that way above me.

  24. What an incredible dress. I can’t wait to see your pictures with a girl wearing this creation. Magic!
