I finished the three day workshop Showreels on creativeLIVE on the most incredible high. I truly discovered so much about myself teaching this workshop. Marketing has always been so crippling to me and I tried so hard to find a way to make it easy on myself. (I’m going to write more about that real soon) I got so excited I cannot stop creating more marketing plans and ideas. The best part is I have realised I have quite an intense passion for this so trust me there is a lot more coming your way. For now this is just a note to say thank you for your support over the last four days. For watching and making big plans and designing great advertising for your business. But mostly for supporting Jill’s story all over the world in 36 hours Jill’s story has had 63,000 plays and rising. I am putting a media kit together today to talk to Oprah – O Magazine – Katie Couric – Ellen and Victoria Secret and anyone that will help Jill tell her story. Actually they are dream platforms for Jill to tell her story to. But the truth is it’s not them that I want to talk to it’s their audience, anyone with breasts. If you know anyone that can share Jill’s story just post/share/imbed the link. Thank you
For all the emails I’m getting about the online magazine I showed on creativeLIVE. Check out the great page on my website that I have put the issuu magazine on to. It’s on my menu here ‘A light that shines’. This is the plugin I raved about on my marketing talk, it is so easy to use. You can imbed your own issuu into your website for Pricelist and Folio etc. (I will write more about that soon too) Of course I didn’t count on one thing. The magazine also features on issuu.com website and now I have hundreds of issuu users from all around the world following me on issuu. I opened my email and over 700 emails came in, most saying this issuu user is following you etc (GREAT network)

You and Hailey are both absolutely wonderful people for having done this for Jill. – Amy and Dusty
Such an inspiration! Jill’s story, you & Hailey for sharing it. The Creative Live weekend, and all that was shared. The documentary is so important and Jill is so brave and beautiful to be so transparent in sharing her story. Be SURE to also share Jill’s story with Kris Carr (of Crazy Sexy Cancer) and vice-versa! http://kriscarr.com/about/
We were so moved by the video and look forward to seeing the issuu! As a family of women, this has helped us to talk about the important issues of breast health and cancer prevention. Thank you for opening up the conversation for us and with our husbands in such a beautiful uplifting way!
Wow Sue you amaze me every time and somehow everysingle time you help me push myself even more. Thank for your kindness and for all your effort.
The power of magic. This story is an eye opener for many many people. I’m not ashamed to admit that it bought tears to my eyes when I watched it for the first time. I sent it to a dear friend that lost her Sister recently because of Breast Cancer, unfortunately it was too soon for her to watch it herself, but she has already shared this beautiful story with so many other people. I am honoured to be able to help share this with the world.
Sue, I’ve been a huge fan since before CreativeLive. And then when you went Live the first time on CreativeLive well that simply made me into a fanboy. And then recently with Show Reels with you and Hailey …. simply amazing {purchased it and am using a Gift Voucher in my newsletter this week).
I’ve been in a very dark place lately and was saving this bit for a private email but thought I’d share it now. Sue you amazing me how you uplift everyone around you and how you create a vortex of positivity and possibility. Listening to your seminar the other day made me realize so many possibilities that I never saw before. I was seriously considering giving up on my photography before your seminar. And then just by listening to your positivity and fountain of ideas …. it was like a clearing for me …. a jouissance. I’m also mirroring Hailey with an attitude of gratitude and each day finding something too be, sometimes more than one thing to be grateful for. Hailey really touched me with her story, which I can so identify with …. because I’ve been there too.
I’ve just watched the whole The Light That Shines again and am so struck by how full of life Jill is even when faced with her cancer. The documentary you and Hailey and all those who participated in is imbued with life. The story you shared on CreativeLive of how everything just fell together for Jill’s shoot and this documentary is amazing. Hailey films like we see and I love all the out-of-focus blurs that she makes happen which is like life as we remember it …. not always in focus. It’s visual poetry even though its a heart wrenching subject. I hope that one day you can share the how this was all storyboarded or planned into a documentary. I think you could do a documentary on that too.
The Light that Shines is not only a story but also a celebration of Jill’s fearlessness and pain and her beauty. I’m left with a stillness after watching it. A wonderment at Jill’s courage and zeal for life and the message that she wants to touch at least one person, not knowing that her story will touch millions and make a difference. What a role model she is.
Hi Sue! Wonderful class on CL last weekend! The video is beautiful and amazing! I hope you don’t mind but I’m posting on my fb friend’s walls who is associated with Good Morning America. Thank you for creating this wonderful video. I pray that it will reach millions of women (and men) throughout the world. Wishing you and yours many blessings!
Sue, I feel so honored to have just met you in Mystic Connecticut. You’re truly an amazing women and photographer and what you and Hailey and everyone that was involved in helping to tell Jill’s story is just incredible. I have shared this video on my Facebook page and just today with a good friend who’s daughter just went through what Jill did. It was hard for her to watch but she made it through. Together we made it through while washing away tears. You have inspired me in so many ways to want to use my photography to tell my friend’s daughter story as well. I suggested the idea to her and she was speechless. To all the women who have to suffer through this horrible experience. May Jill’s story shine a little light. Her bravery…her smile..her strength…her beauty truly shines through. God will bless you in more ways then you can imagine for what you have done. Thank you Sue.
I’ll be watching you and Jill tomorrow. Wishing you both much success in this new journey. Love you!
I’m very proud to see that you’ve used your photography skills to deliver a key message and to tell Jill’s story. I’ve shared the video on my Facebook page and people were so responsive. They absolutely loved the idea. Love, love, love!
I want you to know that I am in my 50′s, and I can’t remember ever seeing anything as beautiful and powerful as this. And, I am ashamed to say that I am overdue on my mammogram. After I pinned this (I saw it via The Nester Blog, who linked to it from Pensieve blog) I went to my calendar and wrote on Monday that I need to call and schedule the mammogram. I assume that Jill is getting very good medical care. But, if you could forward this to her, I would be grateful. There is a Dr Webb, in – of all places- Hot Springs, Arkansas. He treated my father for stage 4 bone cancer. He did a very amazing job. May God bless each of you for all you are doing.
