My Seniors shoot took me to this grungy alley way. Spray painted graffiti walls and Rubbish bins. As we hit the hard light of 4pm winter, I was overwhelmed with Shadows and Bright hard lights on the face. I took a little suitcase of accessories and I rummaged for these flowers, stuck them into her hair and turned to the Sun. As a Studio Shooter I never get to see or shoot the sun flare. My last series for the day jumped out as my favourite series of images from the whole shoot. Love it when that happens.

So I thought I was having the perfect day already (family day at my favorite beach, and I’m getting ready to go on a lake-front dinner date with my husband) and THEN….a brilliant post from you, Sue. I wish I could show you the impact you have had on my life…and maybe one day I will…because, as you know…you really CAN achieve anything, if you really believe. xo (psssst…I freaking opened my own 1200 sq. foot studio, a mere 6 months after ‘meeting’ you online). http://www.theprettyroom.com
Gorgeous mural and usage of it. GORGEOUS girl and LOVE her dress. Good Lord, you are amazingly talented.
Love it!!!
Oh my goodness…..beauty.
Very beautiful Sue
Stunning Sue, as always! These really grab me though – there is something raw and beautiful in her eyes. So honest and I love that they are so natural and organic – so different from your usual work. tan.x.
Truly beautiful as usual, Sue.

Your work is so amazing and takes my breath away. You are an inspiration!!!!
Wow!!! Absolutely stunning!! I’m such a big fan of ALL of your work, but this has truly given me inspiration since I don’t have a studio right now. So gorgeous!!
I absolutely love photos made like this… photographers might me afraid of the harsh sun but there is a magic to it and flare is just like a jewel
It’s good to see you stepping out of your comfort zone
For this series I’m thinking if you enquired the girl about the flower (if you picked her persona as someone
very romantic) or if this was kinda imposed on your part.
I would expect this flower to be accepted by a woman but considered somewhat “uncool” by a teen.
Wow. Amazing. You are a true inspiration! Love that lens flare and the flowers in her hair!
I love the eye on the graffiti, it all a perfect harmony
Wow! I love seeing your range when you step outside the studio. These are stunning! I’m pretty much in love with you forever since seeing you on creativeLIVE.
I hope my husband doesn’t get jealous.
thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone, it teaches or reminds us, to accept challenges, and build in them, to have a plan but to be flexible enough to move beyond the plan and experiment. lovely images as usuual. thanks again. your blog and your work is so inspiring.
Amazing! Your work is very inspiring!
You are gifted. You are so good to share this, it makes my heart full.
Wow, these images are amazing! Your images, artistic vision, and passion for creating beautiful portraits always inspires me to want to be/do better in my own photography and art. Thank you!
Is there anything you can not do? These are beautiful.
What a wonderful series of photos. I especially love the one with the graffit image in the background and the placement of the eye right behind the model’s shoulder. Brilliant Sue! Love all your work– this is really something a little bit different and I like it equally as well as your studio work. Keep it up!
So beautiful!
These are awesome, thank you for sharing! If you can show me another kindness;
What are you metering for?
I love this entire series. Gorgeous captures and your eye is remarkable, Sue!
I can’t believe how everything you do makes my heart sing!
Desde que te sigo,no me has defraudado nunca, excelente trabajo.
You are amazing and I’m so inspired by your artistic talent. Looking forward to your next workshop on CL…keep up the awesome work Sue…..
Thank you for the inspiration. I found you on Creative Live and my understanding of both business and portraits has grown tremendously. Turning my garage back room into a studio but these photos make me want to run outside and grab a camera right now!
Amazingly beautiful, Sue. I love it.
Absolutely stunning, love this. So inspiring, want to go and book a model now and play some.
My evening web browsing began with a very annoying search for the best bathing suit for my post baby body. Some how it lead me to your beautiful before and after photography. Now I’m ending my browsing feeling uplifted and giving myself a little more slack. I don’t need to be perfect. One day I would love to have pictures like this taken.
I am in love with this session. Stunning.
Excelente trabajo Sue,mi enhorabuena.
Unreal, but not at all unreal. So beautiful.
Are those real or silk flowers in her hair? Love it!!
